September, a month of firsts!

I have been so bad at keeping up with this blog. Let's just say that aside from being so busy, I now have a job where I don't have as much down time. But, today I have carved out a little time to make sure I post something.
As the title insinuates, it's a month of firsts. Labor Day weekend, I took my first trip to New York. Yeah, I know I had been everywhere but New York. My big sister (sorority, that is) lives there. I've always wanted to go (it's a bucket list item) and so I decided there's no time like the present. Sandy (another DZ sister who lives in Austin) flew out and spent the weekend and it was awesome. The highlight had to be meeting Kelsey Grammer, after seeing him La Cage Aux Folles. It's the musical the movie Birdcage is based on and is hilarious. I highly recommend it!
Empire State Building
Bike ride through Times Square.
FRASIER!!! Horrible picture of me (we had to snap it fast) but who cares? It's Frasier!

Okay, so onto the second, first thing I did this month. I jet skiied! I am not a thrill-seeker. I don't like motorcycles, I've only ridden the rollercoasters at Disney World, I have no desire to bungee jump, skydive, etc. However, jetskiing is awesome! You have all the control. It was a good day of being on the water, listening/watching football and spending quality time with special people.
Yeah, even got to take it out all by myself!
Christopher pretty much let me drive it the whole time.
53 MPH!!!
