This lady's night in

C played poker Thursday night, which gave me my first night with the house to myself. I had big plans. I was going to have a Designing Women marathon and give the TV a night off from ESPN. While watching, I pampered myself a little bit:

Home facial
Pedi

And I also made some ridiculously yummy Nutella muffins. But, by 11:00 I realized that having the house to myself was boring and lonely. I think I can only handle a night to myself once every 10 weeks.

Proverbs 31

I will post more on this later, but I ran across these 2 articles today and found them to be very thought provoking.

Mishmash of a Few Thoughts

Yeah, yeah I know I've been bad about blogging lately. I can give you lots of excuses but I'll skip that. Okay, so first thing's first: What did y'all think of DALLAS? I loved it! I thought they integrated everything perfectly. Looks like JR's son is going to give him a run for his money! The apple certainly doesn't fall far from the tree.

We got all our wedding pics. Here are a few highlights:

My family
New family

My beautiful bridesmaids

My ridiculously handsome husband

Heartwood Hall (fabulous venue)

All pictures were done by our amazing photographer, Kevin Barre.

Work is getting super busy as our new fiscal year starts July 1st. I'm working towards winning a contest where in November the hubby and I can go here:

Any guesses as to where this is????

Happy birthday, hubby!

Monday, Christopher turned 27. Let's not discuss what age I turn this year. Anyway, we started celebrating Friday night by having a few friends over to have cake and cocktails. Saturday, we went to Italian Fest and saw the Eli Young Band and I had some really yummy chocolate cannoli. Monday we celebrated officially. I have a very sweet husband who just wanted me to make King Ranch Chicken casserole (his fave). We did gifts and even the pups got him a present! Wednesday we went to the in-laws an did his birthday with them. He got a kick butt sound system which we both are loving!
Happy 27th, Christopher! I hope your first married birthday was as good a you'd hoped it would be!
