- Charles Caleb Cotton
If Mr. Cotton is correct, I hope Leslie, over at Sharp Stick in the Eye is extremely flattered. In 2009, she had "Pie Week." I thought it was such a cute idea, I decided a cupcake week was in order.
I love cupcakes and I have for some time. I wish I had known that the cupcake industry was going to take off like it has because I could be a rich chica right now. I've thought for a long time that a cupcake store would be a good idea. Apparently so did a lot of people. But, I digress.
The Rules: [again, I'm taking a cue from Leslie here]
1. Everything must be homemade. No cupcakes made with cake mixes or canned frosting. I know many people do this and it's fine for them. It's not for me. I like the challenge (and satisfaction) of making things from scratch.
2. Cupcakes will be seasonal. Since spring is coming I'm going to try and stick with this theme. No peppermint or pumpkin cupcakes [although I love ANYTHING pumpkin]
3. 7 days, a different kind of cupcake per day. Keep in mind I'm making a dozen cupcakes per day, so at the end of the week I will have made 84 cupcakes.
4. Recipes are coming from multiple sources, more than likely I'll make little changes to all of them.
ARE YOU READY???!!!
