Thirty before 30

As some of y'all already know, I turn the big 3-0 3 months from today. Although I make jokes about being old, I'm not too upset by hitting this new milestone. I do sometimes wonder, when did this happen?! Didn't I just turn 25? Anyway, as I sit and reflect on the past 30 years I am fully aware how wonderfully God has blessed me and how many awesome opportunities I have had over the years. However, I thought it would be fun to come up with a list of 30 things to do in the last 90 days before I leave my twenties.

I looked at some other people's lists and most of the had started their list on their 29th birthdays, and some even on their 25th and 21st! So, I don't have things listed like live in France, or read 100 books. But, I'm pretty excited about the list I've come up with. Some are serious goals, some are silly things  and some are just things I've always  wanted to try and figured there's no better time than the present.

So, without further ado here's THE LIST:

Meet Dave Brown (local weatherman, there is a story behind this I will explain after I accomplish this)

Learn a song on the guitar

 Take ballroom dance lessons

Decide what I want to do with my life

Be actively involved in a charity
Try a new food that is something so bizarre it will make people go WHAT?!
Do at least one touristy thing in Memphis I've never done
 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade
Write a letter to the editor
 Ice skate at Rockefeller Center
 Make a gourmet meal
 Go to Graceland 2
 Paint a picture
 Floss regularly accomplished Sept.
 Regular work-out schedule
Play a team sport started playing on a kickball team the beginning of September
 Put $30 on black.
 Watch the sunrise
kiss my husband in the rain (like in The Notebook)
Learn to can like my mama
 Successfully learn to play tennis
  Drive a bad @$$ car
Be able to fit into designer jeans I got for a steal!
 Go without make-up
 Ride my bike to work
 Volunteer in political election
 Learn to drive a stick
 Get my handgun carry permit
 Celebrate my birthday in style!
Think of all the wonderful blessings God's given me in the first 30 years and wait in anticipation for all the wonderful blessings to come!

So, that's the list. I feel pretty confident I can get all this done. I just have to do 2-3 things a week. Easy, peasy. I will post on each of these things as they happen with a picture (except for # 19). Thanks for following me on this journey. Stay tuned!!!
