Fashion Friday: The VMA's

Yeah, I know for someone who was so disappointed in the VMAs you'd think I wouldn't be posting on them twice in one week. I wasn't planning on posting anything, but I have just been obsessing over how much I loved Taylor Swift's dress. I've decided to channel my inner Joan and give you my opinion on the VMA's red carpet. Drum roll please...

BEST DRESSED:

Taylor Swift, Herve Leger by Max Azria gown

Hello, T-Swizzle!! This whole look is ah-mazing! She does not look like a teenager singing about puppy  love, she looks like a glamourous Hollywood starlet. From a distance she almost looks like Charlize Theron. I absolutely love this dress. I will say, this does look a little more Oscars than VMa's she's rocking it. I guess when you've got an ex in the audience you have to go all out.

 

Jennifer Hudson, Christian Dior

I think this is a great dress. She looks pretty, the outfit is flattering and the leather gives it more of an edge that is appropriate for a show like the VMA's.

 

 Shailene Woodley, Pucci

I think she is adorable. It's a cute outfit, it's suitable for her age and for the VMA's.



 

And now the fun part: WORST DRESSED

I won't put the designer names because let's face, they're probably embarassed. 

 

Allison Williams (I'm sorry but who are you?)



Don't get me wrong, pretty girl. But seriously, did you just partake in your first communion? This dress is more suited for a 9 year old.

 

Katy Perry

So, are they making The Nanny, The Movie and you were cast to play Fran Fine?

Horrible dress, horrible hair. If I were caught wearing that, I'd have that look on my face, too.

Lady Gaga

It looks as if someone killed her half their work is done because she's already wearing a garbage bag. Now you just need to hide the body.

You know I just don't get it. These chicks have made LOTS of money. I mean a lot. I realize they're not in the same category as Taylor to have designers want you to wear their stuff, but they make enough to drive over the bridge from Jersey to Saks or Barney's and buy a nice designer dress off the rack. These dresses look like trashy prom dresses. Seriously, girls. More Neiman's, less Rainbow.

 

 

Now to set my DVR to record Fashion Police. Gotta see if Joan and I are on the same page.
